  My Boyfriend is a recent Ex Jehovah Witness

  i have been dating my boyfriend for almost a year now.

  when i met him i had no idea that he was a jehovah witness.

  we took a vacation and he lied to his parents about who he was with, and they ended up finding out not only that he way lying, but who i was.

  It seems to me that he should have opened up to you about being an ex-jdub sooner than he did. That in of itself should give you pause.

  Why Are More JWs Claiming to be Anointed?

  most jws i know claim they are happy being in the great crowd.

  they'd rather live on a paradise earth and pet lions than go to heaven.. heaven is a place they can't relate to, a place where they don't expect their friends and loved ones to be.. so why are more and more jws claiming to be of the anointed?.

  aren't they looked down upon as if they are crazy, proud, ignorant, or engaging in apostate thinking?.

  Not that it matters, but the only anointed making the decisions are 7 or 8 guys in Brooklyn Warwick.

  Watchtower Doctrines JWs most commonly don't believe

  there was a recent thread on another site where posters maintained that many of the *most* long-standing jw's don't believe at least one official watchtower doctrine.

  i've even read reports from bethelites saying they've heard bethel overseers say they don't believe some watchtower theology.

  this made me think - i believe there are a few official doctrines that are common for many jw's to be either in denial about or simply not really believe ( often one and the same thing).. i'd say these are pretty high in the ranking:.

  cleveland ohio convention results

  attendance 7500 baptised 27 a robust growth of 0.38%!

  How does one cope with the sudden and unexpected loss of a parent?

  my dad died of a blood clot as a result of surgery late last year.

  to say that his death created a bottomless void in our family is an understatement.

  i think about him every day, sometimes constantly.

  Thank you all for your comments, suggestions and kind words. I have been feeling a little bit down and lonely lately. But I actually feel a little better after starting this thread and discussing my feelings. I really do not have many people to talk to directly, not even my wife. So I appreciate this!
